Women's housing case management
Women, Housing and Complex Needs
The Women, Housing and Complex Needs (WHCN) project provides intensive support and case coordination for women who are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness, and have complex needs which require multiple service involvement.
Utilising an intensive case management framework, the WHCN project worker provides an individually tailored, flexible approach to assist women to stabilise their personal circumstances and prevent homelessness. The project does this by providing direct client support, case coordination and enhancement of existing supports to women through a collaborative approach and partnerships with local agencies.
The WHCN project supports approximately ten women per year. The capacity to work with women for a period of 6 months allows for a trusting relationship to be established, and women to be supported to overcome homelessness by addressing long-term, complex and challenging issues.
