Volunteer at Sacred Heart Mission and you can be part of something bigger, making a real difference for people experiencing homelessness, disadvantage and social inclusion.

Sacred Heart Mission operates 365 days of the year and requires the assistance of dedicated volunteers who provide much-needed support to our programs. Voluntary work is a rewarding activity where you can connect with like-minded people, develop your skills and help to improve the quality of life for all involved.

We are committed to ensuring that volunteers across our programs are encouraged, supported, trained and well-informed for mutual benefit.

Volunteering allows us to establish and maintain community links and relationships. We offer various volunteer positions including work in our op shops, meals program, Women’s Services, Aged Care, accommodation sites and health services. View our current vacancies here.

Volunteers are a welcome addition to our close-knit team. We have an array of programs in Melbourne and our different volunteering areas are listed here. The majority of volunteer shifts are during business hours and at this point, we do not have any current opportunities for volunteering in the evening. We often look to our ‘volunteer army’ for assistance during holiday periods and weekends, especially in our op shops.
