What we are looking for
We are looking for a confident and approachable volunteer who has an interest in music and enjoys supporting social connection within the community. The role would suit someone who is comfortable engaging with a diverse range of people and creating a warm and inclusive environment for participants.
Experience working in community, social services, or similar settings would be beneficial, as well as someone who is reliable, friendly and able to work alongside staff and other volunteers.
· Welcome participants and assist new attendees to feel comfortable
· Support people using mobility aids to enter the space and get seated
· Monitor entry to the church and direct enquiries about other Sacred Heart Mission services to the Engagement Hub team
· Work alongside the facilitator to encourage participation and positive group interactions
· Help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all participants
· Assist with setting up and packing down the group space
· Provide general support to Wellness Place staff during the session
The successful applicant must be available every Friday, from 10am – 12:30pm.
