Star of the Sea students in the Dining Hall with Chef Robyn ready for a volunteer shift

Sacred Heart Mission welcomes student groups and teenagers aged 15 years and above to volunteer at our Meals Program and op shops.

By engaging young volunteers, we also strengthen their social awareness around the issues affecting people who are experiencing homelessness and disadvantage.

Please note: Our Dining Hall remains closed for sit-down dining until further notice to keep our community covid-safe. In the meantime, we will continue to offer daily takeaway meals.

Together, we provide so much more than just a meal

Watch our video and learn from our Meals Program team and our volunteers why a meal at our Dining Hall is just the beginning:

Join our Schools Volunteering Program

Our lunch shift is 9am-2pm and we can cater for a maximum of four students per shift (plus one teacher).

For safety reasons, the Meals Program is only open to volunteering teens and students who are 15 years and over, who must be accompanied by a suitable supervisor.
