Our Dine with Heart campaign is now at an end and we have been thrilled with the support we have received from a wonderful community of chefs, restaurants, cafes, bars, schools, workplaces, individuals and community groups. Monies are still being collected and we will release details of what was raised very soon.
May was Melburnians’ opportunity to EAT GOOD. DO GOOD. FEEL GOOD. To dine out and simultaneously support those in our community experiencing homelessness, social isolation and disadvantage.
Some 33 venues and community groups across Melbourne joined forces to fundraise for Sacred Heart Mission’s Meals Program, which provides hearty, free meals for up to 400 people every day of the year.
We've enjoyed burgers, tacos, pizzas, beer, wine, hampers, cocktails, parmas, prawn crackers, roasts, curries, high teas, soups, pasta, pancakes, stir fries, brunches, dinners, lunches, breakfasts, coffees and teas!
We've received great reports from happy punters and we've enjoyed getting together with friends to Eat good. Do good. Feel good.
And of course there was the memorable and delicious Dine with Heart Gala Dinner held on 1 May the stage of St Kilda’s gorgeous Palais Theatre.
Our sincere thanks go out to everyone who donated their time and talent and supported our campaign.
