Extending our op shops to Preston

North-side bargain-hunters will need to mark their calendars for the opening of Sacred Heart Mission’s twelfth op shop at 311 High Street, Preston on Friday, 31 August 2018.

Improving drug and alcohol issues, reducing nights spent in hospital, staying housed and feeling safe at home has been proven possible, once again, for people experiencing chronic homelessness through a housing-first approach, coupled with intensive support.

Homelessness Week 2018 - Ending Homelessness Together

Last year during Homelessness Week we highlighted that between February and June 2017, Sacred Heart Mission had 100 people sleeping under our veranda in St Kilda – an average between seven and 20 people each night, compared to two or three people the year prior.
