Qualified Yoga or Tai Chi Teacher

We are looking for a volunteer yoga or Tai Chi teacher, preferably with some training and experience in trauma-sensitive practice.

Sacred Heart Mission is a local Melbourne charity focused on elevating disadvantage, social exclusion, and homelessness. Volunteering in our well-being program is a wonderful and engaging experience that directly support these goals and values, allowing for the support of those facing hardship to continue. Our well-being program aims to provide a range of activities in an atmosphere of calm and respect. 

Location:

Wellbeing Program, St Kilda

Responsibilities:

We are looking for someone to facilitate a gentle, mindful movement-based group for 6-8 people at our Grey Street St. Kilda Engagement Hub. Classes will take place in the Church adjacent to the Engagement Hub.

Day and time potentially negotiable for the right person but has to be during business hours. This role could be shared between 2 yoga or 2 tai chi teachers who each commit to a fortnightly class.

Whether you are a yoga or Tai Chi teacher:

Requirements: WWCC, PC, Professional Indemnity Insurance, qualified, registered, trauma-aware,  able to facilitate an inclusive and accessible class.

Commitment :

Weekly 1-3pm for a minimum of 6 months.
