Qualified Yoga Teacher

We are looking for a volunteer yoga teacher, preferably with training and experience in trauma-sensitive yoga

Sacred Heart Mission is a local Melbourne charity focused on elevating disadvantage, social exclusion, and homelessness. Volunteering in our well-being program is a wonderful and engaging experience that directly support these goals and values, allowing for the support of those facing hardship to continue. Our well-being program aims to provide a range of activities in an atmosphere of calm and respect. 

Location:

Wellbeing Program, St Kilda

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a volunteer yoga teacher, preferably with training and experience in trauma-sensitive yoga, to teach a small class at our main Mission house in St Kilda. They will be providing complementary activities for people experiencing homelessness or disadvantage.
 
The class runs weekly on Thursday afternoons, 1.30 - 2.45pm. We currently have a fortnightly teacher and are looking for someone to cover alternating fortnights. We are also looking for someone to back-fill classes when our current yoga teacher can't make it. 
 
Volunteers must be qualified, registered yoga teachers with professional indemnity insurance. 

Commitment :

Fortnightly Thursday 1.30pm - 2.45pm and back-filling classes as needed.
