Meals assistant Dining Hall

Sacred Heart Mission is a local Melbourne charity focused on helping people experiencing homelessness, extreme social disadvantage and/or exclusion. Volunteering in our main Dining Hall is a wonderful and engaging experience that directly support these goals and values, allowing for the support of those facing hardship to continue.

Location:

Grey St, St Kilda

Responsibilities:

-Helping us to provide breakfast/lunch

-Dishwashing

-Clearing out the storage 

-Welcoming and serving clients

-Clearing tables

Commitment:

-Minimum 6 months

-We are looking for people who can fill in on weekdays or weekends when we are short on volunteers. Once you are signed up you will receive an email or a call when we are short on days (or you can contact us) and you will then be rostered on those days. 

Other:

Need to be physically fit to stand for several hours, sometimes bent over a table while peeling potatoes, do cleaning and carry dishes.

As part of the application process we will ask you to agree to a confidentiality agreement, Code of Conduct and be willing to undergo a police check.
