Group Activities volunteer in aged care

Assist our lifestyle team organising musical bingo and other group activities for our aged care residents.

Sacred Heart Mission is a local Melbourne charity focused on elevating disadvantage, social exclusion, and homelessness. Our Sacred Heart Community provides an 'ageing in place' approach to resident care needs ranging from low to high care services to 83 residents at the Mission’s two aged care facilities in St Kilda.

-Support the lifestyle staff who have a variety of group activities happening through the week, Monday to Friday.

Making tea and coffee for residents in our social hub "The Hive", this is a great way to engage with the elderly, especially if you love to chat.
Monday AM, Tuesday PM or Thursday AM. 

Assist staff in our musical bingo and sensory gardening sessions. No experience necessary
Wednesday 1pm - 4pm! 

Assist in the running of our in house Milk Bar - selling refreshments to our residents 
From 1:15pm on Wednesdays. Usually for 2 hours.

Regular - weekly or fortnightly basis

As part of the application process we will ask you to agree to a confidentiality agreement, Code of Conduct and be willing to undergo a police check.
